Little Squirrel

Nana got Emma a little squirrel that moves around on the floor.  Emma has so much fun playing with it.  I added a little clip of her with her little squirrel.

Ward Christmas Party

I love my new calling being on the Relief Society’s activity committee.  So we were asked to be in charge of the ward Christmas party.  I was assigned to conduct all of the decorations and activities.  I have included a few pictures from the event.  It was a lot of fun.  I loved every minute.

I covered the tables with white butcher paper and lined the tables with wrapping paper as table runners.  As for the center pieces I duplicated something that I saw on pinterest.  It took 10 hours with a team of people to set this scene up.  We hung lights zigzagging from wall to wall which had sparkled snowflakes hanging from them.

I made this fireplace with a woman named Jeanine.  It has a solid wood frame with a fake brick paneling.  This picture doesn’t show it but I did line the bottom of the fireplace with black material.  The kids loved it.  I had no idea that it would be such a hit with the kids.  I just did it because I thought it would add to the holiday mood.














I created this nativity scene with the basketball hoop and 2 volleyball poles.  I looped a string of lights from them and covered it with a light fabric.  It looked really cool and had a very nice glow to it.

This is a picture of Lauren and Emma.  Lauren and her husband Felipe are good friends of mine.

Dinner was great and after dinner we had a fabulous 30 min Christmas skit.  

It has been an exciting year for Emma and me.  I have loved every moment I can have with my beautiful daughter.  She is growing so fast and learns new things each day.  We just had her nine month check and she is doing fabulous.  Emma weighs 19 pounds and is 30 inches tall.  She is so tall that even though she is only nine months old she fits into 12-18 month old clothes.  Her limbs are so long that 6-12 month clothes aren’t long enough to cover her legs and arms.  She can wear t-shirts that are 6-12 months because her body is very petite and slim.  We are always trying on different things to see what will fit.  She just started doing “Patty-Cake” the other day.  It was so cute when I come in to get her from sleeping she greets me with clapping hands and a cheerful smile.  It is as if she is clapping with joy to see me.  Emma has one dimple on her left cheek.  It is adorable to see.  She now has two front, bottom teeth. And so she tries to put her mouth on everything.  The coffee table, her crib. . .  It is funny to watch. So it has been fun to see her new toothy smile.
